Lowell General Hospital Center for Community Health and Wellness
The Center for Community Health and Wellness at Lowell General Hospital works to strengthen the ability of hospital employees to access community resources, including healthy food.

Projects and Initiatives
The Center for Community Health and Wellness partners with other Coalition organizations, including Mill City Grows, Merrimack Valley Food Bank (MVFB), Greater Lowell Health Alliance (GLHA), Merrimack Valley Catholic Charities and the Lowell Farmers’ Market, to increase access to healthy, local food for patients, visitors and hospital staff. Current and future programs include hosting on site mobile markets and creating a community garden on hospital grounds. Additionally, the hospital’s community health and wellness team provides education and outreach resources within the community.
