Strategic Plan (2025-2028)

In January 2025, the NMCOG Council unanimously adopted the 2025–2028 Strategic Plan (PDF). This plan builds on years of institutional experience and stakeholder input to chart NMCOG’s future direction.

The strategic plan articulates NMCOG’s mission, values, guiding principles, and three strategic priorities:

  1. Mobilize and Accelerate Local and Regional Plan Attainment and Goals (i.e., helping member communities move from planning to implementation)
  2. Lead Regional Collaboration, Advocacy, and Engagement (elevating NMCOG’s role as convenor, voice, and policy advocate)
  3. Ensure the Ongoing Health and Growth of the Agency (strengthening institutional capacity, financial resilience, and organizational sustainability)
